The restoration of paintings and polychromatic woods develops through different stages: stage of diagnosis, intervention’s project and the restoration of the objects themselves. For this purpose, the laboratory sometimes performs preliminary scientific examinations, and uses different methods that rely on both traditional methods and new advanced technology.
